We made it across the Rock!

We made it across the Rock!

Kascacodde Wildhood

It has been hard to get this off my mind. It was the real thing. At most times, a very raw and unique way of living. Taking this life to a whole new level. Working hard, having a ton of fun and earning wilderness experiences that took my breath away and made my heart pound. Some great, others not so great. But that is all part of the adventure I crave. It is a powerful feeling. For most it’s hard to envision these experiences and feelings, but believe me, they are special.

Of course nothing has really sunk in. So much has happened. A blur in my mind in some sense. But a fantastic one at that. Our province is filled with so much beauty. Wilderness or not. I learned a ton about everything. Something that I love to do. Newfoundland, its history, myself, my dog, thriving in the wilderness and the power of living a dream.

Despite the expected trim down on the expedition, I never felt healthier and more energized in my life than I did out there. Spending high volumes of time in nature has huge health benefits and now I really believe that.

The trip itself was the perfect challenge and to conquer it gave me the confidence to turn things up a notch and step to the next level. For now I will relax and enjoy everything I love about home, but the itch still remains!

I want to thank my family, friends and anyone else who supported and helped me along the way. Was nice to have a few fans too, ha. Great for the motivation by’s. And of course, Heather Oakley. I love her to death and couldn’t have done it without her. She went above and beyond to make a crazy dream of mine possible. She actually said she was planning the next one! ; )

Last but not least I want to recognize Saku. A dog, but my friggen boy. Would have been really tough without him. He was absolutely rock solid and we were just two animals on the run. In my update posts I rarely said I. That’s because we were a team and looking back on it, I wouldn’t of wanted it any other way.

Thanks for the continued love and support!
